You know in the 20's during the Wiemar Republic in Germany, the Social Democrats there didn't adequately tax the people to balance the govt. budget (hit hard by war preparations spelled out in the Treaty of Versailles). They ended up devaluating the currency to worthlessness. This helped the govt. in settling it's foreign debt. by paying it in useless currency. The economy went into a spiral and the middle classes lost everything. Hitler was waiting in the wings, capitalized on the general unrest and ended up overthrowing the govt. with the aid of a sympathetic military (Hindenburg). Is the same thing up in the USA? With the buck devaluating at an accelerating pace due to imbalance in trade payments and massive consumer/govt. debt.. Soon Chimp know his history? Is he up to the same thing (except he's in govt.)? How strong is your Republic? With wingnuts like Rumsfeld, Cheney and Chimp in power, it could end up being very flimsy. Time will tell.
