Why just use examples in recent history. Were the English Coal Barons communists/socialists/fascists? They caused terrible misery(due to greed) starting in 16thC, up to early 20thC when civilizing forces finally forced Parliament to push through laws requiring SOME safety requirements in mines & of course that progress can be mostly attributed to work of the Miners Unions. That has usually been the case throughout history of USA. Businesses rarely(Milton Hershey & few others were the rare exceptions) have a strategy that is fair to workers because the owners/managers have the arrogant attitude that they are entitled to lion's share of profits. Egos once again usually get in way of simple fairness.
