SOTU address:
I'm sure there must be something in there, what do we need-
14 words? . Do they have to be in sequence? Education, gay marriage, taxes? Not much there, but I thought he said WMD once or twice. Might look back in that earlier part.
Did I hear him say we are not going to ask permission to defend the country. ? HOhhhh, poyyyy thats gonna bring some
peaceniks out of hiding. And talk about making friends with our enemies.
Might have to wait a few days for the analysts to decide what he said, or interpret what he meant by what he said, or what he did not say, or whatever.

Hi Hawkmoon; Re: "What are you Sam, some kind of Baathist sympathizer? Getting paid to make excuses for Saddam's refusal to abide by his cease-fire obligation?"

This is an ad hominem attack.

Re: "If Saddam thought the US was using inspectors as spies, he should have pled his case to the UN."

He did plead his case to the UN. His case (that the US was using the UN inspections to illegally spy on Iraq) was supported by testimony from a US inspector. Here's a link to the BBC's notes on Scott Ritter:

...
He has argued that the inspection team, Unscom, was a nest of US spies and that Iraq was disarmed long ago.

Remember David Kay? The guy so many war supporters on this thread were saying was going to find WMDs in Iraq? Even he now says that Iraq had essentially no WMDs.

This isn't about supporting Baathism. It's about supporting the USA. You can't support America with lies.
