Hello Maurice, You think that the fact that the gold price is now twice the production cost is important. The point of us doomsters is that if the major governments of the world had their budgets balanced and no new wars were being planned and there was no war being waged and the tax-cuts-for-the-rich villains were not controlling the US etc. etc then gold would indeed be selling near its production price. A mountain of ifs, eh? I think the ifs lose and I'm collecting my monthly money from selling NEM puts as regularly as if it were a pension.
