Desert Storm and the pre-emptive war in Iraq proved that even our regulars could have used more training before crossing the Line of Departure. I disagree with so much of Hack's writing these days, I quit reading him. The statement above is an example...Here he badmouths our entire armed forces for 2 of the most successful battlefield endeavors of all time. Hack has turned into a bitching private. He sees something bad everywhere he looks. He has lost the perspective and the analytical skill I used to admire.
