It's simple. If you increase federal outlays and cut taxes, there is all that deficit money to spend. If you decided to get 10 credit cards and spend them to their limit, you would certainly have a short term personal economic recovery.

It's easy to mortgage the future. It's just that our previous Presidents have had enough discipline not to do it.

John, we forget our presidents have personalities like the rest of us. I suspect Bush was one of those guys who bought his friends and bought his way into places ie. Yale. I think he brought those bad habits with him.......and he so badly wants to win for real this time!
