Can you remember a President being heckled like that during the State of the Union?

He set the Democrats up. If they oppose the Patriot Act, it will be the "Homeland Defense" bill all over again.

If this was the first time, it is a relative ugly development. You know it will only get worse over time.

It's nothing compared to, say, the Brits. Ever watch a session of the House of Commons? Brutal in comparison. American politicians are pretty polite to each others' faces.
