Yes, cutting back on frivolous expenses like
cable TV, going to the movies, etc. so you can
afford private insurance is part of the solution.

Also, eating healthy food (instead of junk food)
and drinking lots of water (instead of soda) is
part of the solution.

Also, not smoking is part of the solution.

Also, getting exercise (at least walking every day)
instead of sitting in front of the TV is part
of the solution.

Oh... I'm sorry... as a liberal Democrat you must
have trouble understanding my proposed solutions!
After all, they involve SELF-INITIATIVE instead
of getting a HANDOUT! A very difficult concept
indeed for some people to understand...
