In what way do you see that as true? It is Bush who cut vet benefits.

Absolute untrue. Clinton and his co-conspirators balanced the budget with a huge reduction in the defense budget and veterans benefits. The only raises the military received during the Clinton/Gore administrations were token amounts just prior to Clinton or Gore elections. A law passed by Congress many years ago stated military pay should be on a par with their civilian counterparts. Under Bush 41 military pay was brought to within 4% of their counterparts, but under Clinton the disparity fell precipitously to -13%. Under President Bush the military have receive 3 pay raise since he became President. Funds for military housing has been expanded as have funds for the VA System. The VA is taking steps to modernize the VA Health system by closing several under used facilities, and opening clinics throughout the country to compensate for the changes in veterans demographics and better serve the Veteran population. All Veterans under Bush, for example, are entitled to free, or low pay prescriptions coverage. A means test is applied only to those without service connected disabilities, and even those are accepted with a co-pay.
