The ironic part about the explosion of the shopping comparison sites is the fact that Go2net pursued this right from the start in their property "webmarket". Webmarket.com was an early form of comparison shopping site. It seems that the Go2net team knew that it had great long term potential. Unfortunately... for whatever reason they may have been to early into that segment. 1997, 1998, 1999 did not have the level of online commerce as we see today. By the way... webmarket.com is now a link to EBAY.
