I was watching Matthews and he had dean on before he imploded on TV. That dialogue below with CM might have led dean to believe he had to rally the troops and move away from the gore, bradley, harkin, carter endorsements and back to his core. The more i think about, the more it becomes plausible that CM's provacative questions led to the meltdown. Dean realized that he had left his roots in this campaign and once again misread a situation by forgetting that the cameras were rolling to a more mature and conservative audience if not politically, certainly temprementally. Somewhere on this thread today it said that Gephart had pulled out of the Larry King show at the last minute.
