Just been reading the "Command Post" blog site.

The military seem to be making good progress in Iraq, but the French also did in Algeria for a while.

Some comments on USA John Edwards democrat hopeful.

The H5 is distinct from H7 (although both have a avian reservoir). The H5 seems to cause a high case fatality rate and seems to be for infectious (one mother / daughter combination, both fatal H5N1 as well one husband who died (not confirmed H5N1, with wife and two sisters with symptoms). Most of the adults, including the two fatalities, were in their 30's.
