I would argue that eating meat is immoral, and on many levels. Even if you do not buy the argument that animals have rights(as I do), then surely you can look at the facts and come to the same conclusion that eating meat is wrong. An example: Roughly two-thirds of the world's population has no access to clean drinking water. It takes thousands of gallons of fresh water just to produce approximately 1 pound of "choice" beef. This while people are dying from dysentery. Surely even the most closed minded person can view these facts and call these practices immoral.

Re: pretty ludicrous...

Ludicrous is when people ignore the facts so that they can continue with an immoral lifestyle which is to their liking.

PS. Before you call me names as you have done in previous posts of people whose views disagree with yours, let me add that I was a voracious meat-eater for years.....that is, until I came to the conclusion that it was immoral. I liked meat but gave it up anyway because not to do so would be wrong.
