Belief in Jesus as son of God is central. Belief in Job's historicity is not.

>> but when I asked you to affirm certain things, they were not things open to interpretation or revelation. <<

neither is mystery babylon open to different interpretations. there is a correct interpretation, which is (earthly) jerusalem, and all others are simply wrong.

>> They were black and white items that the Bible clearly spells out, <<

jerusalem being mystery babylon becomes as simple as black and white if God has chosen to reveal it to you. the heavenly jerusalem above is pure white as snow, and earthly jerusalem is as black as the depths of sheol.

>> Would you agree that if someone did not believe that Jesus was the son of God, or that Mary was not a virgin, or that Job or Noah were fictional characters, or that Jesus really did not hang on a cross or rise from the dead -- you would not really be interested in having long discussions with them -- at least as it relates to the purpose of this thread? <<

some on this thread appear to have a familiarity with the scriptures yet seem to have trouble grasping such a simple concept such as God is no respecter of persons. the bible is quite explicit on what it means to be a jew in the eyes of God, and also identifies those liars who pollute the name of israel and simply boast of being jews based on their physical ancestry. yet it seems many on this thread can't grasp such a basic concept. this issue seems black and white to me.

>> I really am interested in other's views and opinions. That's why I started the thread. I really don't see why you are having such a hard time with this concept. <<

you don't seem to get all that irritated when people talk about the pope, or the revived roman empire, or china, the U.N., or president bush, or all sorts of other fanciful interpretations. you only seem to be bothered by my "rants" when it comes to your precious worldly kingdom of israel. you might want to ask yourself why no one here gets upset when china and russia are spoken of attacking israel in the end times, or how the catholic church or the pope are somehow involved, or europe and the E.U., yet many of you get visibly upset and disturbed if someone shows you how the modern nation of israel is satan's wicked little creation.
