Mish, whats the point?..people are responsible for their own investments and the tools they use to trade...if Velo wasn't a good tool for you walk away and drop it, if you traded on his advise its not anyones fault but your own if you lost money, if you didn't dd the advise, back test it or place stops.

Not that i'm standing up for velo and i've never been a sub of his

RE Velo: One set of option trades lost over 80% of all capital invested in his "agressive" programs that was abandoned.

Feel free to post full details here
suite101.com
He is telling me and others that people make money following his advice. I have asked for clarification and given him an opportunity to prove it. He reacted by closing his board on SI. Luckily, I have a record of many of his bearish predictions made on his web site here: suite101.com

One nice thing about the internet is we can keep track of these sorts of things. We all make mistakes but when people refuse to admit to their mistakes and they misrepresent their results, then we need to warn others. I was told good traders don't lose 80% of capital...

The sad part is he seemed like a decent guy....

me too. yes, i admit it, there was a brief moment of insanity where i actually paid Velo money. only time in my life i've ever tried anything like that, and thank you G-d it was with Velo as it cured me of that desire for all time.

while i was a sub velo went heavy short at dow 8k. a couple of months later he posted right here on SI that he was holding that position through the next expiry because it would certainly come to the good. imo the reason he never closed the position - at least publicly, who knows what he did in private - if he even ever held it - was because doing so would have wiped out an entire year's worth of claimed gains.

note: nobody can be banned from posting on the original raptor thread as it was released to the public when raptor the dequel was launched.
