I think the article makes many good points. There is, nevertheless, something awfully wrong with how, like the illegals themselves, the GOP easily ignores American law because of expedience. This is especially true since so many people have attempted and failed to gain access to the country by legal means. The message Bush sends here is, "forget about what is right. Do wrong and eventually find your reward." I would that the GOP seek Hispanic affection more honorably, rather than sell its soul for votes.
