She did some very dumb things that destroyed the potential of her powerful advocacy...but to equate her behaviour with Kerry's dissent

Did someone do that? I didn't see anyone equate her behavior with Kerry's "dissent". The infraction was for Kerry to give Fonda & Clark credibility by associating with them. If you can't see that, I'd suggest the only knucklehead around here is you.

As for Jane Fonda, as far as I can tell, she gave voice to what many Americans were saying privately at the time.

She did some very dumb things that destroyed the potential of her powerful advocacy...but to equate her behaviour with Kerry's dissent by this knucklehead is entertainingly dumber...

Al, I am revolted that DR calls her a traitor no matter how much he disagreed with her statements, or how stupid they were. And worse was his claim re. Ramsey Clark. Wars should be fought as a last resort and not at the drop of a hat like Bush and DR would have us believe.

Furthermore, dissent and disagreement are permitted in a democracy. That means you can dissent and not be called a traitor. Fonda helped formulate what was a growing opposition to a ridiculous war. Its too bad that that isn't happening now. If anything, this war is even more ridiculous. The inmates have taken over the asylum.
