JF, You are paying a guy with your taxes (or in this administrations case with your deficits) to take your place on the battlefield. Big deal, I am paying a guy to protect me from criminals and enforce the law. This way, I don't have to exercise my 2nd amendment right to buy a gun and defend my own premises (Tim May style). I also pay a guy to go fight fires so that I don't have to form a bucket brigade when the next California wildfires come. You need to quit while you're ahead. Fighting a war for your country is not about someone else doing it for you. A firefighter does his job just as you do yours as a chip engineer. Fighting to protect one's nation is the responsibility of every citizen in a democracy. ted
