We have some very nice, large mosques in the DC metro area, which isn't surprising given how many Muslims we have here. One of the nicest ones - from the outside - is on Massachusetts Avenue, not that far from the Vice President's house. I'm sure the land is more than three acres. And there are a fair amount of other large mosques around here. So I fail to grasp the significance of a nice large mosque being built in Berlin. If the people involved are terrorists then their funding should be frozen. Otherwise, what's the problem? They aren't Lutherans?

I gather that religious freedom isn't considered a fundamental right in Europe anymore? Or just religious freedom for Christians who don't pray out loud or wear obvious religious symbols?

I see that a compromise is being suggested for Sikh men in France - hairnets instead of turbans. Sickening. Disgraceful.
