Syria's borders with Iraq are like an open spigot for terrorists attacking US troops. It is not uncommon for American troops to pursue Arab terrorists back across the border into Syria. All the while, Syria does very little to keep terrorist groups from having easy access to Iraq, through Syrian borders.

If the incidents of terrorists crossing into Iraq from Syria continue, and if facts come out about Saddam's WMD being in Syria, it is going to be difficult for America NOT to take defensive action against Syria.
