I found Bush's speech amazing, in that it went straight from the foreign, to some rather bizarre and/or tangential issues, which were also fairly divisive issues.

The state of the union should have focused on the budget for the government, and what Bush is going to do about CURBING his spending. It would have been nice if Bush had said a little more about the economy, because quite frankly his pissant trickle down tax cuts are not going to do it, imo. I know he only cares about holding things together until the election- but I'm not sure that's even a done deal.

Bush is vulnerable on a host of issues, I just hope the democrats are not too stupid to take advantage of his weaknesses.
