I am aware that some of us are also Celg longs. I caution you to keep a close watch on the Revimid trial in MM. Participants of the trials have been notified of serious side effects in white blood cells and platelets reduction. A relatively large percentage of patients have discontinued the trial and there had been reported deaths associated with the trial.

The notification came from trial coordinators at each participitating site. In one center, the statistics was 7 out of 10 with two deaths on entering emergency care. The information is not available to general public.

This is however consistent with released data at ASH and also reported by Celg press release, where the most common side effects noted were grade3/4 thrombocytopenia and neutropenia (54%). If you reach grade 3/4, you have to stop until the counts come back up; that is the guideline. You should also noted that in the release statement, it includes the median time to disease progreesion at 5.5 months. That is very short and is comparable to Dex which is the primary endpoint comparison in the pivotal phase III trial.

In over three years that I have posted here, I have never purposely misled people on this board, and if you do follow my posts here, I frequently caution people here and deal mostly with scientific information.
