I disagree about the "dark side" and "evil" from the Bush administration but even if Moveon.org's accusations where mostly correct Bush would have little similarity to Hitler and such comparisons diminish the ability to rationally talk about the real shortfalls of the Bush administration and make light of the horror that was the Nazis.

For whatever reason, because you don't see the similarities does not mean they don't exist. I don't see the similarities as being huge but there definitely are similarities between the two men/administrations.

For an example, both use[d] fear to motivate their people into taking pre emptive action against other nation[s]. Both rely and encourage[d] strong nationalism. Both used the threat of other nations to impose the amending of laws and reduction of legal protections. There are other similarities as well but those are three of the more important ones.

As to how this plays out, time will tell but people are not making allegations of "a dark aspect" to Bush simply to denegrate him. People have real concerns as to his motives and his committment to our way of life. And don't come back and say its BS.........just because you don't see it, does not make it less real.
