Take a rest paret, read the newspaper at the bottom of your cage.
The 9/11 hijackers and leader OBL attacked the US, they claim, due to US presence in Saudi Arabia and support for Israel.

You'd have to be nuts to ignore that as a source of current trouble for the US.

We don't belong in the M.E. The Israelis can solve their own problems w/o dragging the US into endless blood feuds. They've got nukes and other WMDs, and don't need to meddle in US politics for billions in annual aid and Blackhawk helicopters etc. They can abide by the UN, or continue to fight on their own.

Saudi provides 10% of US oil, which we can conserve and innovate our way out of. Saudi is an enemy of the US. Israel is coming perilously close to being one as well, as long as they keep manipulating jellyfish Congress and corrupt administration into supporting heavy-handed military action.

Even Kissinger, as one who's been called a war criminal for excessive military answers to cultural problems, has finally said, "we don't have the answers to their problems", referring to such intractable problems. Truer words were never spoken. Israel eventually has to face facts and solve its own problems.

The truth is that US involvement in these feuds becomes more significant than the original issues between the parties, and becomes not an honest broker, but a corrupt partisan, with parasites, court intrigue, endless lies to the American people, and a steady diet of death and profiteering.

You want to help Israel? Go over there if you have any integrity. I have. I've spent months with Israeli soldiers and officers, and came to the conclusion the people are great, the gov't is insane and power-mad. Much like my own country.

It gets personal when you make those radical comments. I invited my neighbor who's married to a Sabra wife, and several friends over to my shooting range a few months ago, and conversation naturally turned from weapons to terrorism. They know my background. When I said the US under Bush is becoming like Israel, with constant terrorism, there were nodding heads all around. When I said I'll fight to the death for my family and country, but not for Saudi Arabia or Israel there was silence. I haven't invited them over since, nor have they asked.

You're a Pat Buchannite, huh?

"Israel is coming perilously close to being one as well, as long as they keep manipulating jellyfish Congress and corrupt administration into supporting heavy-handed military action."

AND ONCE AGAIN---

WHAT does your dislike for a certain country have to do with trading?

That is about the best summary I have read on the issues involved. I'm sending your post around the block.
