I believe those bright eyes reflect intelligence but the media is having a field day with his "if life hands you a lemon, make lemonade" reaction in Iowa. There were thousands of campaign workers in the room that night & many of them gave the opinion that it was the type of message they needed from their candidate. Kerry does have a hang-dog expression. One reporter compared him to an underweight Herman Munster:)
