the problem is that the free market at least in the case of software is trying to swing back to US based companies, but the Bush WH is so enamoured with large firms who will be undermined by this market shift that they are proposing ways to STOP the free market.

This immigration plan is something that HP, Intel, Msft want. That way, they can hire their offshore employees at dirt cheap rates and bring them here, thus shunting the advance of smaller, US based more nimble competitors such as Red Hat software, or AMD in the case of chips.

If the Bush WH would just BUTT OUT maybe this economy has a slim chance of holding on to a few industries? Nah, that would cost Bush's lethargic pals a few bucks. Better to destroy nimble competition, protect that obsolete megacorps msft,intc and keep the Bush junta in power. blech
