A proposal to affect outsourcing I have heard is to require that companies of a certain size provide health care and a healthy environment regardless of their location in the world (or their products would not be allowed in the U.S.). I haven't heard any of the candidates advocate this explicitly, although it may be alluded to by Kucinich. It too amounts to an attempt to prevent companies from passing on their costs to the public sector while retaining all the profits. TP
