TORONTO, June 29 (Reuters) - Research In Motion Ltd. (Toronto:RIM.TO - News) reported a fourth consecutive quarterly profit on Tuesday as sales more than doubled on sizzling demand for its BlackBerry wireless e-mail device.

The Waterloo, Ontario-based firm reported net income of $55 million, or 28 cents per share, in the first quarter ended May 29. Adjusted to exclude one-time items and litigation costs, RIM reported net income of 36 cents per share.
