Actually, given what he's done, I wonder if Bush really wants to fight terrorism and capture OBL. There's something really strange going on here. After all: - He let Saudi jets fly through our airspace and pick up 24 members of the bin Laden family and their associates right after 911. In addition, the FBI weren't able to interrogate them either fully or at all to find out what they knew about their relative, Osama. - He doesn't pressure his good buddies, the SA royal family, to let us question the family and associates of the hijackers. - Apparently he shared a cigar on the Truman balcony with Prince Bandar of SA right a couple of days after 911. This is though we've known for years that SA funds militants through charities and that most of the hijackers were Saudis. - We hightailed it to Iraq while putting only 1/10th the force into Afghanistan to catch OBL. Afghanistan is a much bigger country with a larger population and we knew that OBL took credit for 911. - We aren't buying up enriched uranium, primarily from old Soviet sources, to prevent it from getting into the wrong hands. - He blacked out 28 pages or so from the report outlying SA's involvement (or not or mebbe) in terrorism. Something here is really wrong. The Bushes have long standing ties with SA. I don't know if they really want to get OBL. You'd think that, as the long remaining superpower, we'd find that relatively easy to do. Shrubbery really makes us look so weak in the world.
