I would just mention that Cisco has in the past been "left in the dust" in new/related product areas, and has subsequently ramped up and crushed their competitors. My experience has been that at least part of the reason for this is a customer's aversion to risk (perceived or otherwise) in venturing away from the "safe" choice.
