Well you learn something almost everyday if you are not too old of a dog.

Yesterday I learned I could boot photoshop in classic by opening the get info dialog and clicking on the "Open in Classic" check box. This is really cool because I can now occasionally use filters unavailable in X without booting to 9.

I found out because my buddy with the new G5 has had problems. Seems that her brand new G5 came with a bad RAM card. It also came with a bad Diagnostic CD so it took her awhile to figure out the bad RAM problem. It had Photoshop crashing. She thought it was because she couldn't change the RAM allocation. I thought RAM allocation in X was dynamic which it is but there IS a RAM allocation box in the Get Info Box. Only it doesn't work. Which was driving her nuts. Turns out you can only change it when you have the "boot to classic" box checked.

Learn something every day.
