Yes I believe the Old Testament is the Jewish Holy Book.

I'm not sure if a federal official is required to take an oath on the Bible, for 2 reasons :

- When I became a naturalized US citizen I did not have to.
- requiring that such an oath be taken, would be a violation of "separation between church and state".

No requirement to take oaths on the Bible. That would be tantamount to forcing them to be Jewish or Christian.
