here we go slip-sliding away again...seems indeed that the market is pricing in some concerted G7 action re. the dollar.
there's only one problem with that...i don't think there will be any such action. there's no love lost between the Shrubs administration and the euro-area G7 members...they will WANT action on the dollar, but i sincerely doubt that they'll get it. this could actually turn out to be quite an acrimonious meeting this time...
aside from that, the dollar shouldn't manage much more than the occasional short covering bounce. still too many foreign holders trapped and eager to put on hedges as soon as it so much as twitches.
