"Emergency" borrowing is still borrowing and has to be paid back..... That's why most prudent people and corporations have rainy day funds and true borrowing power.

What is the amount in dollars that we pay to debt service? Quite a handsome number isn't it.

What is the emergency borrowing you're refering to in the current context....the war? With the deficit more than 500B, that doesn't account for the problem. In a few short years, medical care and SS are going to huge bills....provision must be made (maybe another tax cut?)
