It doesn't matter, all allied intelligence services and the CIA during the '90s thought they were there, the only disagreements were over the precise nature of the threat. Thus, whether they were there or not, it was reasonable to hold Saddam Hussein accountable, and to tire of his foot dragging.

Saddam sent his WMD to Iran -- that is a very creative and amusing fantasy.


No crazier than sending his air force to Iran, which he did actually do in 1990. Saddam was not what you would call a rational decision-maker.
