What a good thought that is. It is too bad all those specimens are being snarfed up as jewelry.

I was kind of hoping there was going to be a jewelry eating goat in your post, so I'm still switching gears here :-)

I bet if scientists set up a bureau for amber pictures people with digital cameras would send in pics. And if the samples were fabulous, and they paid shipping, and insured the pieces, I bet people would loan their jewelry for the cause of science- I know I would.

There's a job for you. Set up this amber bug picture exchange. After all you've got so much free time on your hands (not).
