Sam Houston didn't drive anybody off their land. He certainly had heroic qualities. Unlike your heroes, the Palestinian suicide bombers and Adolf Hitler.

The point? Sam Houston seems like a man of the times. From what you posted, he had flaws yet was revered as a leader.

Perhaps you're thinking you should start a campaign to return Texas to Mexico. I bet if you had a vote in Mexico, they'd vote to be annexed by Texas.

You have more chance of voluntarily giving up your land to the Native Americans, going off and eating fudge for the rest of your life in a nursing home, than returning Texas or eliminating the State of Israel.
