Again, it's a different world now. M1,2,3 don't tell the story.

It's about credit creation, with the inflation appearing in Japan and China, because THEY are the ones creating the "money". Money which buys treasuries, which finances home refinances, which fuels consumption, which keeps overseas factories humming.

The domestic money numbers are no longer meaningful indicators of liquidity sloshing around the system. Have you seen the figures of Fanny and Freddy's books of business the past 3 years?
