I tried the 2001 Arboleda Carmenere this week. Wow! A real stunner. At about $15, it is the best Chilean bargain I've found. Complex, tobacco, plummy, terrific finish. Easily superior to the LV, IMO. I'm getting a few more bottles. Hope I can find it easily.

I haven't yet tried the Grial, which is the most highly- rated of the cheapo Chilean cabs. Ratings, well, they're for more highly developed palates than mine. I just like to go with the what I like at a reasonable price.
