Sarmad, whatever FA one relies on includes predictions. Those could prove to be wrong. Some big players might know that before we do. It has happened to me.

Have we all now adopted the model that stocks are NOT investments. But just a game that transfers money from someone's account to someone else's. I think that is an essential step in making money from speculating in stocks.

Most of Wall Street has been of this mind for years. If your compensation is based upon transactions/commissions then you have a stake in promoting this mindset.

But the mindset has gone beyond just the commission based. Even most mutual funds, which are performance driven, turn over their funds at rates I consider alarming. This is because most mutual fund customers are so short-term focused that the mangers of these funds cannot look beyond the next quarter.

So should we all attempt to play this game? Read most investment primers and they will have a section on stop-loss orders and how to use them. I'd say that if you're a true investor, you are in the distinct minority.
