Long as you didn't do it in a theatre, or yell or anything, i won't tell a soul

'I hope I won't be arrested.'

I knew germans here who hadn't left the country till the late forties, early fifties [except for one who was captured on the russian front, spent seven years in Siberia] .... they thought the nazi stance on jews was just standard political posturing, that they really didn't mean to actually do anything about it .... the PoW had been with the brownshirts early in the thirties, he and i were on very good terms, he wasn't the sort of guy who told you what you wanted to hear, and he was adamant on this, that the death camps came as a shock to him .... he had been present at reprisals against partisans in occupied territory, probably participated but never said so directly, he was very open about stuff ...... lost a lot of family in the war, some long after May 1945 .... for euros all this is right there on the ground they walk on ... plus, like Jochen says, there are more people to the acre ... hard to imagine how they can sustain waves of immigration in such quantity ...
