If you want to dispute what I say, don't change the subject, but respond to what I say.

You didn't point to a single instance in any of those situations where there was intentional targeting of innocent civilians going about their daily lives without a legitimate military target involved.

Your naiveté is disconcerting. Of course, Brit. civilians were targeted.......so were colonists who were British loyalists. It was a war........the Revolutionary War. Everything was fair game.......or did you think the early colonists were saints?!

The Brits were lucky compared to the Israelis.....most of them were across the ocean and not very accessible.

Your failure to mention even one such instance proves my point.

Man, I don't have time to teach you Amer. history.

As to your view of 9/11, clearly the US is the main support of Israel, without our support and money Israel would be done for. So if you believe that Israeli citizens are legitimate targets for suicide bombers, why wouldn't you think that American citizens are legitimate targets for suicide bombers?

Where did I say that Israelis were legitimate targets for suicide bombers?

Give me one cogent reason why it is legitimate for a Palestininan to blow themselves up in a crowded Jerusalem shopping center but not legitimate for them to blow up the World Trade Towers. The justification for both is identical. If you support or accept one, you support or accept the other.

I don't see the analogy between the two at all. The Palestinians are desperate. They've been living in the camps for over 50 years. They want their freedom. Their desires are very basic.

The perpetrators of 9/11 are very different.......they are religious ideologues......the worst kind of extremist. Much like the religious right in this country, they think they have God on their side.

9/11 was to accomplish two things.........it was a thumbing of their nose at this country's economic supremacy. And it was a message to stay out of ME affairs; particularly the affairs of Mecca.......Saudi Arabia.

It was the culmination of all the wrong things we've done in the ME. And before you come back and tell me how good we've been to the ME.......do a google and check out the clandestine activities of the Reagan/Bush I administrations. The contra costa affair and the overthrow of the Iranian monarchy was just one small part of our bad*ss ways.

And to make clear.......I do not think Palestinian suicide bombers nor the WTC attack are examples of acceptable behavior. However, I understand how its come to this level of mess.
