At this time, I think Iran is a special case. No doubt they are up to real mischief when it comes to terrorism in the ME and possibly this nuclear thing. However, they have some semblance of rehabilitation from within. I believe if Bush is reelected he will work to aid those in Iran that wish to have a democracy, and IF Iraq turns out even reasonably successful that in and of itself will go a long ways toward Democraticizing the ME. jdn

koran forbids non-islamic government. Koran allows muslims to enjoy democracy only if they live in non-muslim countries.

IMHO, that is a big challenge for US in Iraq
