Well, I am a retiree so thats no problem for me. I learned of this when I ALMOST bought a home in Oregon, at the LAST MOMENT I learned they pay 9 1/2% state income tax on everything including investment income. Told the realtor, I cant afford to TITHE to the state as no one is going to adjust my investment income cause I elected to live in a high state income tax area. See how STUPID that policy is? Here we were, no children for the state to support, fairly well to do thus likely to spend a lot of money supporting others with our purchases, yet they drive US OUT and what remains in Oregon is the lower paid workers who dont give a damn about income taxes as they have no significant income. jdn
