Still amounts to lying and denying the facts in front of them to serve their own ends. It's simply dishonest and unethical. The fact that half the country believes in that policy and approves of those who carry it out is very disturbing - especially coming after a president who was personally unethical and dishonest. The current bunch was supposed to be better. And they are worse. I just had a call from an in-law in the US I hadn't spoken with in a long time. She wanted to know what I thought about all kinds of political issues she was following. She was very disappointed when I told here it was a screwed up mess that didn't have much hope for resolution, and hence didn't interest me much. People get so caught up in the game they fail to see the total lack of progress and results.
