America is a 50-50 country now; half the populace is so scared of the rest of the world they will believe and support just about anything; the other half is outraged and disappointed but powerless to do much until the November vote.

The endless partisan pissing matches that pass for political debate are easy to spot all over SI, the talk shows and the media.

If a candidate had come along this year with the message, let's bridge our differences and work together to achieve our goals and fix our most important problems, no one would have shown the slightest bit of interest.

Instead we hear how each side is SURE the other side hates babies, loves to make people poor, adores evildoers and probably buggers farm animals in their backyard when the neighbors aren't looking (or sure would if they could!).

It's a farce.
