well the real issue I am trying to point out wrt California property taxes, is that "fiscally conservative" republicans often tout California's sad state of fiscal affairs as a referendum on liberalism. When in fact, it is something very close to DUBYANOMICS that has created the sad state of affairs in CA.

And that is, 1) an unfair tax philosophy that allows the older, "conservative" voters to stiff the young with their bills, 2) constant hemming and hawing about how high taxes are even though this same group pays LESS than they would in other states (due to discriminatory laws that they themselves passed), 3) a system where these same voters can vote for *as much pork as they want* and never have to pay the consequences (because the young are stiffed with the bill, legally).

Does that sound like Clinton, or Dubya to you? Sounds like Dubyanomics to me.
