If every single one of them was fired tomorrow, 99.99999999% of the people would not know the difference. Free Analysis has but one purpose. That is to give the salesman (broker) some material to read to marks (aka clients) when they attempt to churn accounts and generate commissions. Once people figure this out for themselves, then they are well on the path to making decent returns. Economic theory says that the person paying for something SHOULD get some economic benefit from their dollars spent. Why else would they have free analyst reports for decades other than to have a few on TV as advertising which doesn't take that many.... and they would hire Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordon as spokesman.
