Re: kerry and all pols for that matter-- we need to separate their campaigns from how we think they will actually govern. In Kerry's case, his campaign will go after the weaknesses of the bush policies. As President he will have to deal with those tough decisions as bush did. My gut tells me that on fp, kerry will be tough.
Bush did the same thing in the the last election and my perception of him then, was that of an isolationist and that is one major reason that i voted for gore. 9/11 changed everything and it is hardly worth talking about pre-9/11 bush. If kerry were elected i suspect, we would quickly not see him hanging out with teddy kennedy. MIke
