No, what you forgot to mention "back channel" was that years prior to the Gulf war you were an attorney. I respect the fact that you served and I know that many of our men who went to Kuwait, and some who were inoculated and did not go, were subjected to Gulf War Syndrome, and you may have been made ill as well. It's never made good sense, however, that your thinly veiled implications that you had "been there and done that" in terms of being a fighting soldier, rang true. I'm just suggesting that if you want to wear that mantle, then substantiate it. If it doesn't fit then take off the "flight suit."
